We are pleased to share this paper which outlines and builds on key takeaways from a critical seminar hosted on May 22, 2025 by EUCCAN, the European Union Chamber of Commerce in Canada.
The expert event, hosted in Toronto, focused on deepening the EU-Canada strategic trade relationship during this time of global uncertainty, identifying key opportunities and challenges, and leveraging the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). Speakers and panelists represented various government entities, stakeholders and EU and Canadian business representatives. Participants discussed strategic areas of cooperation, supply chains, and CETA success stories.
This paper also takes into consideration takeaways from a follow-up workshop with the EU and Canada business and expert community organized in July 2025.
